Our Staff
Donna Thurmond has served as Communications Director at Germantown UMC since September 2003. Her responsibilities include both external and internal communications, production of the Sunday bulletin and News and Events, departmental brochures and emails, and management of the church website. Prior to that she served as Creative Director in the same capacity at Second Presbyterian Church in addition to leadership roles in the Divorce Recovery and the Single Parents Program. She served for 15 years at the Brotherhood Commission, an agency of the Southern Baptist Convention whose purpose was to involve men and boys in missions. She and her husband, O.W., enjoy traveling and hiking the trails of Shelby Farms with their Weimaraner, Zoe. Donna has two adult sons and a daughter who is a student at the University of Memphis.
