Children’s Choirs

John Wesley said, "Our little children we teach chiefly through hymns."

Choirs begin in September and conclude on May 1. Children may join at any time.

Cherub Choir: Ages 3 and 4
Our preschoolers learn beginning songs about Bible stories and people. They also experience group rhythm activities and games to increase their awareness of the music around them.
Rehearsal: Sundays: 5:00-5:45 p.m.

Alleluia Choir: Kindergarten and First Grade
At this level, children begin to develop their concept of pitch and tone production. This is always done in a fun and relaxed setting.
Rehearsal: Sundays: 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Gloria Choir: Grades 2 and 3
This choir begins to read music as they learn their anthems for the services. Emphasis is placed on tone production and blend. Gloria Choir sings approximately once per month during the choir season.
Rehearsal: Sundays: 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Choristers: Grades 4, 5 and 6
This choir often sings two-part music and shares in the worship services about once per month. A highlight of Choristers season is the “musical” performed at the concluding concert in May.
Rehearsal: Sundays: 5:00-6:00 p.m.
