Recreation & Sports
Fall Soccer Registration is now underway for children ages three through the sixth grade. To register online, see “Open Event Registrations” at bottom of page. The season will begin on Friday, September 17, and will run through November. Registration ends August 29.
GUMC offers a variety of sports activities throughout the entire year. GUMC sports are Christ-centered with an emphasis on teamwork and glorifying God.
Spring
• Soccer. Registration is held in February. Ages: pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. All teams are divided by grade. The pre-K and kindergarten teams are co-ed and the 1st-12th grade teams are divided by gender. The fee to play is $70. All teams play six games.
• Basketball. Registration is held in February. Ages: 3rd-12th grade boys and girls. All of the spring basketball teams play in Memphis Athletic Ministries. The fee to play is $70. All teams play 10 games.
Summer
• Baseball/Softball. Registration is held in March. Ages: kindergarten-adults. All of the youth teams are divided by grade. The kindergarten teams are co-ed and the 1st-12th grade teams are divided by gender. The adult team is coed. The fee to play is $70. All teams play 8 games.
• T-Ball. Registration is held in April. Ages: T-Ball for pre-kindergarten only. All pre-K teams are co-ed. All meetings are held in the OLEC gym. The fee to play is $70. All teams play 8 games.
• Men’s Summer Basketball. Registration is held in May. All men age 18 and older may p ay. All games are held on Thursday nights beginning in June. The fee to play is $50. All teeams play 8 games.
Fall
• Soccer. Registration is held in August. GUMC offers fall soccer for pre-Kindergarten-12th grade. All teams are divided by grade. The kindergarten and pre-K teams are co-ed and the 1st-12th grade teams are divided by gender. The fee to play is $70. All teams play 8 games.
• Basketball. Registration is held in October. GUMC offers basketball for kindergarten-12th grade. All practices are held in the OLEC gym. The kindergarten teams are co-ed. The 1st-12th grade teams are divided by gender. The fee to play is $70. All teams play 10 games.
