Serving Locally
This Week’s News:
Adults in Missions at Mountain TOP: July 23-August 3. It is time to sign up for the summer week of AIM (Adults in Ministry). This is the adults part of Mountain T.O.P. We do a little more difficult construction projects than our youth teams (minimum age is 19), and stay on the same site all week. We really get close to the family we are working with and that leads to some strong bonds amongst the team members as well. It is just one of those experiences that is impossible to describe, but one you will never forget and will cherish the rest of your life. If God is calling you to a short term mission project to really get out of your comfort zone for a week then this is for you. If you have questions or would like to sign up please call Doug Warner, 755-9729, Linda Colebank, 624-2429, or Sharon Ritz, 754-9070.
Help Spread His Word! Germantown UMC has participated for years in a 4th Saturday morning (10:30 a.m.-noon) Sabbath School program at Holy Community Methodist Church on Looney Avenue. GUMC’s efforts have fallen off and we need to again grab the standard and move it forward! If you heard this calling, please grab a friend and give Ann Graham a call at 756-5199. Every child should have an opportunity to hear the Word!
Seeking Mission Prayer Partners. Be a part of our youth mission trips by praying daily for our mission trip participants while they are away serving Christ in different parts of the country and world. This is a wonderful way to be involved in our mission trips—especially if you are unable to travel to the mission trip destination. As a prayer partner you will simply pray specifically for a youth or adult during their mission week. You will receive a photo of the youth or adult that you’re praying for, specific prayer requests, and a prayer bracelet. We need close to 100 adults to pray! Sign up here!
