Giving

Our time, our talents and our resources.

Each of us is called to worship God with our entire life, including our time, talents and resources. Sharing those resources is an important way to worship the Giver of all good things. We pledge to be good stewards of your gifts, taking great care in how we manage and track the resources entrusted to us.

Giving Methods

You may make your gifts in a variety of forms. You will receive a receipt of your tax-deductible gifts in accordance with IRS requirements. Please let us know if you have any specific needs regarding the timing of these notifications; otherwise, you will receive the minimum summary of your gifts necessary to meet government standards.

Year-End Giving at GUMC. Since New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, we need to remember that gifts, pledges, and tithes given on that day will be credited to 2012, and cannot be credited to 2011. Please make sure that any year-end gifts and pledge payments are delivered to, or received by, the church by Thursday, December 29, or if mailed, postmarked no later than Saturday, December 31. For your convenience, the Post Office will observe Christmas Day on December 26, and will then be open for business through Saturday, December 31. The church office will be open to receive year-end deliveries from December 27-29, and a staffing schedule will be published soon. Thanks for your support throughout the year.
