The United Methodist Men is the organization within the United Methodist Church which is solely devoted to the men of the church. We seek to deepen our relationship with God through fellowship, service, and study. Men of all ages are members of the United Methodist Men. All men in our congregation are strongly encouraged to participate by attending monthly meetings (second Saturday morning, September-May). Be a part of something great! Join other men as we dream and plan, working together on projects that support ministries such as Habitat for Humanity, First Works, SASHA, United Methodist Neighborhood Centers, Starfish Ministry, and others.
Our May 11 Men’s Breakfast will feature Geoff Calkins, sports columnist for The Commercial Appeal. Cost is just $5 and reservations may be made at germantownumc.org. Breakfast is served at 8 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Men’s Sonrise Prayer Group. Men, if you have an interest in strengthening your connection with God, with others, and with yourselves, then please accept our invitation to join the Men’s Sonrise Prayer Group as we begin a new and exciting study on J. Ellsworth Kalas’s book “Parables from the backside: Bible Stories with a Twist (Behind the Pages)” The author puts a new twist on 12 of Jesus’ familiar parables, including the Good Samaritan and the prodigal son. The study will begin on Tuesday morning, September 18 from 6:30-7:15 a.m. in Room 339. No registration is required and join us any Tuesday morning.
