The Middle, the Young Adult ministry of Germantown United Methodist Church, serves adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, including singles, couples, single parents, and families with young children. The Middle provides young adults with opportunities to grow spiritually, connect with others, and serve our church and community.

Mission Statement

Sunday School Classes

Wesley 2.0
We are a discussion-based class with lessons on various topics. Come join us as we actively support and encourage one another through inspiring lessons, fun socials, and exciting service opportunities!
Ages: 20s-40s
Location: Adult Education Building, 2nd floor, Room 3

Emmanuel
A class of couples and singles seeking to grow in a deeper relationship with Christ through biblical study and enjoyable discussion. Scripture-based ideology provides a basis for both classroom lessons and life experiences through group philanthropy and family fellowship.
Ages: 30-50
Location: Room 136, behind the Fellowship Hall

Foundations
A class of young couples, many with small children, who meet for fellowship and discussion on a wide variety of topics. We choose studies that spark conversation and have real life application.
Ages: 30s-40s
Location: Room 233, Chapel Building

Preston
From families with young children to singles, our class welcomes those looking to discuss contemporary and faith-based issues in a relaxed, friendly environment. We also enjoy getting involved within the church, participating in mission opportunities and socializing with other Christians.
Ages: 25-40
Location: Room 342

Small Groups

Grace Circle
Women in their 20’s, 30’s & 40’s looking to fellowship and connect with other Christian women. This is an opportunity to fellowship with Christian women and work towards our MISSION together. We provide snacks, a devotional message, and fellowship with other women (childcare provided upon request).
WHEN: 1st Friday of each month at 9:45am (except holidays)
WHERE: Room 339

Eliora Circle
Eliora is a Hebrew word meaning “my God is my light.” We seek to embody the love of Christ and allow His light to shine through us as we balance work, family, and social obligations in our lives. Women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s who are looking to connect with other Christian women are invited to this evening circle.
WHEN: 1st Thursday of each month at 7pm (except holidays)
WHERE: Room 342

Chancel Choir
Do you love to sing? You will find the Chancel Choir to be a fellowship within a large congregation and a great place to participate in the leadership of worship, while singing a wide variety of musical styles.
WHEN: Wednesdays at 6:30pm
