On Monday nights this summer, Chloe Granberry will be facilitating a study by Dr. Ryan Bonfiglio, Associate Professor of Old Testament at Candler School of Theology on the topic of Sabbath. Chloe worked as a Teaching Assistant for Dr. Bonfiglio while she was in seminary, and is excited that this class is being made available asynchronously to churches everywhere through the Candler Foundry! Below is a description of the course:
“In this course, we will explore the biblical concept of Sabbath and what it means to embrace God’s rest in the midst of our busy lives and restless world. In doing so, we will come to understand the ancient idea of Sabbath as more than just downtime on the weekend. Rather, we will discover Sabbath as a disruptive and life-giving invitation to think differently about our priorities, the pace of our lives, and what it means to be created in the image of a God who rests.”
We’ll meet on Monday nights, June 1st-July 13th, in Room 339 from 7pm-8pm! Registration is free! Click HERE
