Hello Summer! This summer GUMP is happy to offer 4 camps for our current students, ages 25. The end of the one school year brings preparation for the next. GUMP is already making plans for a fantastic 2021/22 School Year! We would love to share the wonderful things happening at GUMP if you or someone you know is interested in our preschool program.

Preschool Stepping Stones (BirthPrekindergarten): The Hamilton Nursery will be open during our two worship services and Sunday School. We learn by moving, singing, and storytelling. In June, we are learning, I trust God. I am not afraid.Psalm 56:11. Please preregister your Nursery kids online each week by Friday at noon.

KidsQuest (Kindergarten5th Grade): Elementary Sunday School will meet at 10 am. During the month of June, our theme is Confidencelearning to see yourself the way God sees you. Our memory verse is, I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.Psalm 27:13. Please preregister your Elementary kids online each week by Friday at noon.

For our Childrens Ministry service project this summer, we will be collecting individually packaged snacks for the Project Transformation students. You may drop off your donations to the collection boxes in front of the Huddle (Room 240) or at the check-in desk in the Hamilton Nursery throughout the entire month of June.

Workout Tuesdays: Get off the couch and join us for a workout! Meet in the OLEC at 10 AM for an hour of fun exercise with amazing people! Then plan to hang out with us in the Oasis for a while before heading home.

Lunch Bunch: Wednesday, June 16Grab your lunch and meet us in the Oasis at 12:00 for lunch and Bible study.

Sunday Morning Trek: Trek has moved across West Street to the OLEC! Come join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00!

We Have Moved: The youth ministry has moved offices to the OLEC. Come by and see us sometime!

Lakeshore: GUMC is headed to Lakeshore July 2531 for Jr. High #3 and Elementary #4. We would love to have your student join us! If you are a high schooler who would like to volunteer this week, contact Lisa or Brian.

SOS: We have an opportunity to participate in SOS this summer for two days only (June 30 and July 1). This will be a little different than years past since we will not be staying at the SOS campus, but we will still be helping the people of Memphis with needed roof replacements. Online registration opens this week for those ages 14 and up.

Camp 901: GUMC youth will learn about and participate in mission opportunities in the Memphis area July 1216. This is open to middle and high school students. Online registration for this camp will open this week.

Older Adult Programming Update! We hope that we will be able to start the Brown Bag Lunch and XYZ activities again this fall, providing the vaccination process becomes smoother and the Health Department allows us to meet without social distancing. We will keep you informed about startup dates via the Tidings and the Ministry News & Events, and program schedules will be mailed once we have the programming set. The OLEC is excited to announce a few classes are starting back! Al Walton teaches his Vinyasa Yoga on Wednesdays at 2:00 pm live. He then follows a Conference Call Only Gentle Yoga class at 3:30 pm. Judy Pearson will start her Walk Fit classes 2x per week starting Tuesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 17, both at 10:00 am in the downstairs Dance Room. CDC Offers Guidelines for Fully Vaccinated People

CDC and Shelby County Issue New Guidelines for Fully Vaccinated People. If you have received a full course of COVID19 vaccine and waited 2 weeks after receiving your second shot or your first shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you can resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic. Masks are still highly recommended. Masks must be worn if:
A mask must be wornnote is posted or if its a requirement of a private business
Entering Federal property
On public transportation
You are not vaccinated and around people who dont live with you.
If you havent been vaccinated yet, find a vaccine. Until you are vaccinated, wear a mask, stay 6 feet apart, and wash your hands. If you are fully vaccinated, remember you can still be infected with or carrythe virus that causes COVID19while not feeling sick or having symptoms.
